As mum to a teen and a pre teen, I know just how difficult shopping for gifts for them can be. Luckily my two have been very helpful and have already wrote their Christmas lists, so I have some great ideas to share. I hope that this is helpful and please feel free to leave a comment with any more ideas you have…
1. Jewellery
Jewellery is one of the best ideas for teenage girls. Something special, that they can keep for years to come. There are lots of options when it comes to teen jewellery, it could be gold or silver, a bracelet, necklace, earrings or ring. And then there’s the option to personalise your chosen jewellery piece with their name, or maybe a special date or quote.
2. Skincare
Skincare has become very popular among teens in recent years thanks to social media. While some of these skincare products can be very expensive, there are plenty of budget friendly options too. Why not look for Black Friday deals and discounts?
3. Perfume
Similarly to skincare, perfume has also been trending with teens lately. Sol de Janeiro is one very popular brand and I have to say I can see why as they all smell amazing. They bring out some great gift sets too at this time of year.
4. Money
Cash is guaranteed to go down well with any teenager. This allows them to go shopping and buy exactly what they want. And while it might not be as exciting as opening a present, it’s much safer than buying them something they might not want or need.
5. Gift card
If you don’t want to give cash, then a gift card is another great idea for most teens. Especially if you’re buying for a family member who is a teen and you’re not quite sure what they are into. Then a gift card for their favourite shop or shopping centre is bound to go down a treat.

6. Pyjamas
Pyjamas are always a winner for anyone at Christmas time and especially for teens. It really doesn’t matter how much you are spending, there are lots of great options on the high street to suit any budget.
7. Jellycats
Another social media trend that has the teens hooked is Jellycats! Now I’m sure you all know what these are, but if you don’t, they are basically super cute collectable soft toys. My daughter has quite a collection so I know she’ll be over the moon with a new one for Christmas.
8. Stanley cup
Stanley Cups have become incredibly popular over the past year, making their way from the US to the UK. They are now readily available in many different sizes and colours. And, if your budget doesn’t stretch that far there are plenty of similar, unbranded ones available.
9. Clothes
You can’t go wrong with clothes for teenagers this Christmas. Just make sure you only buy from their list! If they’re into DIY fashion, consider tech-savvy accessories like custom laptop sleeves or crossbody bags with padded compartments – perfect for protecting their devices while staying stylish. Stick to their preferred brands for clothing, but don’t overlook functional add-ons they might not think to request.
10. Trainers
Trainers are another great practical idea for teens. Make sure they add a pair to their Christmas wish list.
I hope that this article has helped you to shop for your teen this Christmas. If you have any more ideas to add, please share them below.
