OUTDOORSY CHRISTMAS GIFT IDEAS

Christmas is only two weeks away now and many of us are rushing around trying to find the perfect gifts for our friends and family. Perhaps you’re looking for a Christmas gift for a loved one who enjoys the outdoors, but you’re not sure what to buy for them or even where to start looking. Well look no further! We’re hear to help.

Here are five Christmas gift ideas for the outdoorsy types in your life…

Clothing

Clothing is always a great choice for outdoor lovers. Think about their favourite activities and choose a gift around that. Are they into running? Perhaps get them a new waterproof running jacket or leggings. Maybe they enjoy playing tennis? Why not get them a tennis skirt? There’s lots of options available online. And if you still feel overwhelmed with choice, you could opt for a gift card.

Footwear

Just as with clothing, think about the sport that they play or their favourite outdoor activity and look at footwear options. Perhaps they are a keen golfer? If so, you could look at golf shoes. Again if the options are overwhelming or you’re worried about getting it wrong then a gift card is a great option.

Camping gear

If your loved one is into camping then there are lots of camping related gift ideas. It could be something practical like a tent, sleeping bag or rechargeable lighter. Or you could look at something a little more fun such as a personalised enamel mug, a blanket or a picnic table.

Activity watch

Why not look at buying your loved one an activity watch? Maybe they already have one but need an upgrade. There’s lots of different ones to choose from and some are better for certain sports and activities than others. For example Garmin watches are excellent for runners as they deliver lots of different stats. Garmin watches are also great for hiking and other sports but if you want something a little more simple an Apple Watch or Fitbit are great options.

Safety essentials

Safety gear for their outdoor adventures is always a good idea. It could be a swiss army knife or multi-tool, a torch or maybe even a first aid kit. Another great option is a handhelp GPS device that has offline maps. This is great for hikers as they are likely going to lose GPS connection when they are out in remote areas, so this will keep them safe and ensure that they won’t get lost.

Headphones

No matter the sport or activity your loved one is into, headphones are always a great option. If they enjoy running, hook headphones are the best idea as they do not move around while you are running. For hiking or gym goers, over ear headphones might be a better option. There’s lots of different types available to suit all budgets.
