THE BEST FLOORING OPTIONS FOR BUSINESSES

When it comes to flooring, there are so many different options. Whether you’re looking for your home or business, there is lots to take into consideration. In an office or retail space you will be looking for something that is hard wearing and easy to clean, but of course you also want it to look good. Budget is also a big deciding factor when it comes to floor coverings as the cost can vary hugely.

So what are the best options? Read on to find out more…

Vinyl

Vinyl flooring from Flooring365 is a good cheap option if you are on a tight budget. Most vinyl flooring is water resistant or even waterproof so it’s good for restaurants or cafes where spillages are likely. Vinyl comes in lots of different styles, you could go for something very plain, or maybe wood effect or even vinyl that appears like patterned tiles.

Laminate

Laminate is made from multiple layers of wood, with essentially a photo image printed on the top to make it look like real wood. It’s much cheaper than hardwood flooring and is easy to fit, meaning you may even be able to save money by installing it yourself. However, unlike vinyl, laminate is not waterproof so may not be a good option for some businesses.

Resin

You may not know much about resin floors, I know I didn’t. But it’s basically a hard wearing plastic surface that is created by mixing a selection of ingredients to create a highly durable finish. When it comes to resin flooring pros and cons, the main positives are that it is hard wearing and easy to clean, so perfect for most businesses. On the downside, resin can be a little more expensive than other options.

Concrete

Similar to resins floors, concrete is incredibly strong and hard wearing. A polished concrete floor is very much in fashion at the moment and would last you for as long as you wanted it to. The installation can be a little time consuming though so you will need to hire a professional here.

Hardwood

Now, we have hardwood floors in our home and they look stunning and would be suitable in many different businesses. But, they do scratch quite easily. Although the grain and texture in the wood does mean that any scratches and damage is not too noticeable, and can be sanded out and repaired quite easily. It’s not the cheapest flooring option, but a good one to consider for an on trend look.

Carpet

Maybe not the most popular option, but carpet does have it’s place in some businesses. Maybe you want your office to feel a little more cosy? Or you need your flooring to be comfortable for children? And if you are on a tight budget, carpet is one of the cheapest flooring options available.

Tiles

Finally, tiles are a great option for many business types, particularly those in the food industry as they can be cleaned so easily. They are also water resistant so there’s no need to worry about damage from spillages. Tiles also look great and are very popular in homes right now.

As you can see there are many different flooring options and a lot to consider. But I do hope that this post has been helpful for you in deciding what flooring to go with for your business. Please leave a comment with any questions you may have.
