My kids love animals of any kind, especially Evie, everything is “aww, so cute!”, so imagine how excited they were to visit Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary last weekend.
To celebrate the release of Finding Dory, Sea Life are teaching us all about blue tangs and clownfish like Dory and Nemo. The kids were able to follow the interactive trail and discover facts about the real life versions of Nemo and Dory. There were letters hidden around the sanctuary that we had to try to find, and then the kids got a little medal at the end (which Max has wearing every day since!).
Scarborough Sea Life Sanctuary is not only home to lots of fish but there are also penguins, otters, seals, turtles, sharks, sea horses and even Olive the octopus!
When I asked Evie what her favourite thing that she saw at Sea Life was she of course found it difficult to choose but in the end she settled on the otters and penguins.
Penguin island is great as you are able to get up really close to the penguins, we got a really good view of the two baby penguins who are super cute!
Max’s favourite were the jellyfish, I loved this part too. The interactive colour changing tanks are fascinating and really great for children.
Did you know that jellyfish are 95% water?!
After a while we stopped for an ice cream and a cuppa at beach bites cafe. The kids also had fun playing in the adventure playground area.
As much as I liked the jellyfish, my favourite part was definitely the seals! We stayed to listen to one of the talks, where we were introduced to the five resident seals and we even got to watch them being fed.
Did you know that seals can hold their breath underwater for up to 30 minutes!
We had a fantastic time at Sea Life Scarborough and are very proud to be ambassadors for the Sanctuary, thank you so much for providing us with a year of fun! We can’t wait to visit again.
Thanks for reading.

The jellyfish were great 🙂 x
This one looks great – we visited the Brighton Sea Life Centre recently, but no penguins, otters or seals like this one! I love penguins, they’re such comediens! And I could sit for hours watching the jellyfish, there’s something so calming. Love that shot of Evie in the diver’s goggles mask – so cute! Thanks so much for joining us at #SharingtheBlogLove
