Last weekend we stayed at the beautiful Tudor House in Portington, East Riding of Yorkshire and I thought I would share a few photos of the weekend with you all.
The house itself was absolutely stunning, beautifully presented with lots of space for the seven of us that were staying there.
The house had two lounge areas, which was perfect for us as it meant that the kids could go and play and watch what they wanted on the TV in one room, while the adults used the other room.
There were four bedrooms in total, sleeping up to eight people. We shared the house with my husbands parents and brother so there was more than enough room for the seven of us.
There were three bathrooms in the house; a main bathroom upstairs, a downstairs toilet and an en suite in one of the bedrooms. We arrived before everyone else so of course we bagged the room with the en suite 😉
There was plenty of garden space around the property, including a large driveway which was more than big enough for our two cars. The garden was great for the kids to play in and they particularly loved the apple tree in the corner.
The property is located in a very quiet rural location and is surrounded by fields so it was lovely and peaceful. It felt good to go somewhere quiet for a few days to get away from the usual hustle and bustle of living in a city.
I managed to get some lovely photos one evening as the sun was settling, the sky looked absolutely amazing!
On the Saturday we drove over to York, which was about a 40 minute drive away from where we were staying. Max hadn’t been very well so we didn’t stay too long. We did manage to have a look around some shops and had some lunch at ASK Italian before heading back to the house. On the Sunday we went to one of the local pubs for a carvery lunch which was delicious and the perfect end to a lovely weekend!
Thanks for reading.

Ah, that scenery looks stunning! It’s so lovely to get away from everything and feel like you’re properly out in the country. A carvery lunch sounds like the perfect way to round it all off – hope Max recovered enough to enjoy it. Thanks so much for joining us again at #SharingtheBlogLove

What a beautiful house and sunsets.
I’d love to be able to go away with family, but being on the farm, we can’t all go away together. #sharingthebloglove
