Bobux aw19

As you all know by now, we are huge fans of Bobux shoes and the kids have been wearing them for a few years now. They are great quality, wear well and I adore the styles. So when an email landed in my inbox asking if we’d like to test out some shoes from their new AW19 range I don’t think I could have replied any quicker!

I’m excited to share with you a little bit about Bobux and what we picked out…

Bobux shoes

Bobux are a New Zealand brand that began back in 1991. Bobux create shoes that are not only on trend but good for our children’s feet too. They are constantly striving to learn more about healthy foot development and using this knowledge to design kids shoes that are genuine objects of desire for mums.

Bobux shoes range from newborn all the way up to a UK size 1. They are split up into four different size categories – Soft Sole for newborn & prewalkers, Step Up for first walkers, I-Walk for toddlers and Kid + for bigger kids, which is what my two are in.

“Since our inception in 1991 we have always strived to do the best thing we can for kid’s feet. Over the years we’ve brought in talented foot experts to be part of our company, sought lasting partnerships with podiatrists from around the world and, importantly, spent a whole lot of time studying how children move as they grow from newborn to running and jumping little maniacs.”

AW19 collection

The brands commitment to being experts in foot development and leaders in style is what truly sets Bobux apart and the 2019 collection promises to deliver on both.

Packed full of vibrant colours, unique materials and a real focus on exceptional quality and finishing. For A/W19 Bobux took great care in developing premium, beautiful leathers that celebrate the high quality craftsmanship that goes into every shoe.

As well as delivering on quality, Bobux wanted to create something special for the kids wearing its shoes in the colder months. So, this year, it introduces the exciting Waterproof and Merino Collections: Functional design that lets kids be kids no matter the weather.

Grass Court Waterproof

The first style that we picked out is the Grass Court Waterproof trainer. The kids actually had a pair of these each earlier this year and we loved them. They’ve now been updated for autumn/winter with velcro fastenings and a waterproof barrier. So jumping in puddles will no longer result in soggy shoes and socks!

“Grass Court Waterproof feature an internal, waterproof membrane that keeps water out of the shoe and away from feet. Even when submerged in water for up to and over four hours, water simply can’t get in.”

Grass Court Waterproof trainers are available in gold, silver, yellow, red and navy. Evie picked out the gold ones, which are very cool. I was also tempted by the yellow ones which are such a gorgeous vibrant shade and would really brighten up those gloomy autumn days.

Jodhpur boots

I also picked out the Jodpur boots in charcoal shimmer for Evie. These are a great staple for autumn and winter as they will go with everything. They are stylish yet comfortable and practical and I can see them getting lots of wear over the coming months.

These are also available in navy, red, black, toffee, silver shimmer, blush shimmer, navy shimmer and plum.

Timber boots

The Timber boots are brought back by Bobux each autumn and it’s not hard to see why! This is a style that we love and the second pair that Max has had. This time we went for this gorgeous vintage olive colour but they are also available in black, mustard, blush, navy, plum, vintage rose and olive.

The timber boots feature elasticated laces and a velcro strap meaning they are secure, yet easy for children to take off and put on quickly by themselves.

Over time, the white wax finish on the vintage olive Timber boots rubs into the leather, rejuvenating it and giving the boot a whole new vintage look that gets finer with age.
