Saturday was Max’s 6th birthday and also the kids joint birthday party. It was a hectic and tiring day, but lots of fun too.
I also vlogged the day, you can watch our video here…
We started the day opening presents and cards and getting ready for the day. Max’s presents were pretty much all Shopkins related as he’s totally obsessed with them, definitely no gender stereotypes here!
The kids joint birthday party was 11:30am – 1pm at a local church hall. We’d hired an entertainer and ordered some food platters from Sainsburys, so there wasn’t too much for me to stress about. We headed to the party venue just before 11am, to get everything set up. The party went really well and the kids had a great time.
After the party we went to Toys R Us so that Max could spend his birthday money, this basically meant even more Shopkins…which by the way, are pretty painful if you stand on them! We headed home after Toys R Us to open presents from the party and play with new toys for a little while.
One of our little birthday traditions is to get photos of the kids with their birthday number balloon each year, I think they are such sweet photos and great to look back on. So we went out and took a few photos just before we headed to my mums for a chinese for tea.
As well as chinese food, there was more birthday cake and presents at my mums. Max was thoroughly spoilt and my house now looks like a toy shop! Honestly, I’m so glad that the children birthdays are now out of the way and I don’t have to worry about finding a home for a mountain of new toys again until christmas!
Here are a few photos from the day…
