I can’t believe we’re half way through August already! Only two more weeks after this one and they’ll be back at school and preschool, I really can’t believe how fast the holidays have gone.
I would be lying if I said it had been easy, don’t get me wrong I’ve enjoyed the days out, the lazy mornings and the times when they’ve played nicely together, but believe me it hasn’t all been like that. As I say every month, these two are either best friends or worst enemies and that certainly hasn’t been any different over the summer. A lot of the time I’ve felt like a referee instead of their mum!
Bad bits aside, M & E have become very used to having each other around and are loving playing in the garden, the paddling pool or playing schools or mummies and daddies together.
Max likes to be change all the time, things tend to have to be be on his terms but more recently Evie has stopped backing down to him, she gives as good as she gets and Max is having to learnt to get used to this.
These two always want to do everything together, and Evie in particular is always following her big brother around. I know it’s going to be a big shock to her next month when he goes back to school and he isn’t with her all the time. She has far more confidence when he’s around, she knows her big bro has got her back!
Here are our siblings photos for August, taken at a recent trip to Nostell Priory.

They are 🙂 Thanks for reading x
So funny that you say this. We had school holidays recently and my elder son always wants to be the boss. Now that little sister (Miss 4) is bigger, she doesn’t back down like she used to either! It makes for some huge blow ups, but when they play together sometimes it is so beautiful. She dotes on him and he has opened up her imagination to role play. Such special times watching them bond.

They soon learn to put up a fight don’t they! Thanks for reading 🙂 x
Lovely photos! It’s great that they have each other. My kids either love or hate each other too! #twinklytuesday

That is exactly what has been going on with mine- LJ suddenly standing up for herself! Love these photos, just so nice to be able to get out and about isn’t it? As much as I am looking forward to Autumn I am not looking forward to the darker days!! #TheSiblingsProject

I am sooo not looking forward to the darker days 🙁 It gets really depressing doesn’t it x
Lovely pictures! I think I’ve got a good few years of refereeing my boys ahead of me! Siblings are always going to fight but I think it’s great that Evie is more confident when Max is around, it shows they love each other really! #siblingsproject

Aww look at those two. They look like the best of friends. Such beautiful photos of them, you must be so proud. I can imagine that come September, it is going to be a bit of a change. But little ones are so incredibly adaptable, and how many school holidays are there 🙂 Thank you for linking up to the #DreamTeam xx

Oh they do look like they’re having so much fun exploring the world together – hopefully there will still be lots of time for exploring even when school comes onto the scene!
