I am a big fan of Lighthouse outerwear, and I still have one of their coats from last year that I wear regularly. It’s such a great coat for cold and wet weather and not to mention is excellent quality. Me and the children were kindly sent a coat each from their current collection and we have really been enjoying wearing them. We headed out for a walk at the weekend to really test them out in the wind and drizzle and we were really impressed…
Lighthouse is a small clothing company based near Belfast. Their love of the outdoors combined with the frequent dissatisfying weather is the main driving force behind the brand. They wanted to create outerwear with a unique style whilst maintaining all the practical waterproof features that have the traditional perception of compromising on style.
Lovingly crafted especially for enjoying beloved places or exploring new ones, Lighthouse clothing is about being in tune with your surroundings whatever the weather.
I can’t tell you how long I have been looking for a bright yellow jacket for, and now I finally have one! Although there does seem to be a lot of them around at the moment, the problem I was having was that they just weren’t practical – not waterproof, not warm enough etc. The Lighthouse Raven jacket in sunset is shearling fleece lined so will keep me warm on those cold morning school runs. It’s also fully waterproof as well as breathable so I know it will keep me dry through autumn and winter.
Raven yellow jacket – £99.95
Max’s coat is the Harris parka in navy and I love how it looks on him, doesn’t he look cool? It’s shearling lined like mine so it keeps him nice and cosy. The Harris parka is waterproof, with fully taped seams so I know he will stay dry on rainy days. As a mum, I am also really pleased to see that this coat is machine washable. So there’s no need for me to panic when he inevitably goes splashing about in muddy puddles!
Harris parka – £39.95
For Evie I picked out the Erin coat in the colour sage which is a lovely khaki green, perfect for autumn and winter and I know it will match with all of her outfits. I just love this colour on her, it really suits her, don’t you think? Just like mine and Max’s coats, Evie’s is shearling lined and waterproof so practical for the wet and cold months ahead.
Erin coat – £39.95
What do you think to our new coats?
Thanks for reading.
*We were kindly sent these jackets for the purpose of this post, however all thoughts are my own*
