Every year, thousands of us look to improve our homes, by redesigning, remodelling, renovating or completely remaking parts of our houses. So, to provide you some inspiration we have got some really stylish home renovations that will make your home look sleek, stylish and ready for 2021. If you are looking for small and simple changes, this article isn’t for you, we’ll be focusing on big changes which will completely change the look of a home.
Open Up Your Living Room With Bi-Fold Doors
First up on our list, installing bi-folding doors, don’t be fooled by their name, lots of people think installing bi-folding doors is like installing a normal door. But the truth couldn’t be further from that, to install bi-folding doors, you’ll first need an opening in a wall big enough to fit door panels so some structural work may be needed.
But once you have your bi-folding doors installed, you’ll have the benefit of having a great view into your garden from the kitchen and in the Summer with the doors open you’ll create a nice flow in and out your home, making them excellent for those who host BBQs and garden parties. When you have your bi-folding doors installed, it’s important to find appropriate blinds for bi-folding doors as most normal blinds won’t be compatible with your new doors.
Move Your Home Office To Your Garden
For this project, you’ll need to have quite a big garden to fit everything in. As Coronavirus locked down the world, everyone and their dog started working from home, so this is a project for those who want to keep up with the home working life but want a separate space to do their work, if that’s you a wooden garden cabin (or summerhouse) is perfect for you.
So, by finding a company who can make a stylish garden cabin in your garden with electricity etc, you can create a nice space just outside your home which would work perfectly as an office space, even better, in the Summertime, this can double up as a social centre in your garden allowing you to host people in your new garden annex.
Even if you’re not working from home, one of these garden cabins could still be a valuable investment if you enjoy being out in the garden and having friends over.
Turn Your Old Attic Into A Stylish Guest Room
Last, but by no means least, we have loft conversions, which are one of the UK’s favourite home improvement projects. Put simply, this process converts your attic from a dusty storage space to a delightful new room which can be used as a guest bedroom or even a second living room, either way this project will add a whole new room to your home which will give you more freedom and privacy at home as well as increasing the value of your property.
Once your loft has been converted, the only thing left to do is to decorate and furnish your new attic room. So for those of us who love a trip to IKEA, this will be a perfect project for you as you get to furnish a whole new room!
And there you have it, 3 of the best home improvement projects for you to try undertake this year, while these projects may seem a bit expensive, it’s important to remember that they’ll increase the value of your home, so in the long run these changes should pay for themselves!
