ADHESIVES THAT EVERY CRAFT LOVER SHOULD HAVE

If you love to indulge in crafts, you’ll know how important it is that you have the tools you need to hand. Very often, crafters have the paper or other materials that they need. However, they often overlook adhesives even though they are essentials. So, if you are serious about your crafting, you’ll need to make sure you have the right type of adhesives to hand.
Let’s take a look at the adhesives you should have to hand at all times:

A Glue Gun

A glue gun is a really handy tool to have with you. Easy to use, they can be a welcome addition to your craft kit. Please make sure that you only ever use your new glue gun on surfaces that don’t need a lot of heat. Glue guns are ideal if you work with non-porous and porous surfaces. Just make sure you keep your new glue gun on a surface that can deal with heat. A metal stand, for example, can keep the heat away from your crafting table while ensuring you don’t spill glue everywhere.

Superglue

Superglue is ideal for repairs, a range of heavy-duty projects, and much more. You should make sure you need it for the right use, rather than sticking bits of paper together for example. Superglue can bond a wide range of materials such as wood, glass, metal, ceramic, and more. Don’t forget, that when it dries, this type of glue tends to swell a little. You will need to account for this each time you’re using superglue.

Foam Tape

If you love to add things to scrapbooks, you will find foam tape very useful. This is because it is capable of almost permanently sticking to paper. However, you should be aware that foam tape does not work very well with many other craft projects. Double-sided and thicker than many other types of tape, its use can be limited but it can also be one of the best tools in your craft kit.

Glue Dots

Glue dots are fun to use but they can also be very handy. You don’t have to wait for them to dry, meaning they can save you some time. Ideal for use with a range of paper projects, decorating, and scrapbooking, glue dots are usually available in different sizes.

Tacky Glue

One of the great things about tacky glue is that it is very quick to dry. Chances are you know someone who has used tacky glue as it is ideal for a range of tasks. With the ability to be used with plastic, paper, felt, and fabric, this type of adhesive is very flexible. While you might not need to use it all the time, when you do, it can be very handy.

If you love to indulge in a spot of crafting, you will find that you’ll need adhesives now and again. Make sure you have them to hand so you can get on and complete your project.
