So Christmas is over, boo hoo! I hope you all had an amazing day and Santa brought you everything you wanted. We had a lovely day and were all thoroughly spoilt.
We started the day at home, opening our presents, eating fancy breakfasts and drinking prosecco. The kids managed to rip their presents open within about 15 minutes and then of course wanted every single toy taking out of its box!
After opening presents and once we were all dressed we headed over to my mums for Christmas Dinner and more presents. We have dinner at my mums every single year, she makes the best Christmas Dinner, I can’t imagine spending the day anywhere else.
We then headed home and had a bit of a tidy up as the kids received a crazy amount of presents and as our house is so small it literally looked like a bomb had dropped on it! The kids were exhausted after such an exciting day so they ended up having an early night. Mine and my husbands evening consisted of cheese, crackers, alcohol and Royle Family, perfection!
I do feel pretty sad now that it’s over though. There’s such a lot of preparation that goes into just one day, isn’t there? And it’s over so so quickly. But now we’re looking forward to Edinburgh at New Year, just a few more sleeps to go and me and my husband will be child free for two whole days, yay!
Here are a few photos from our day, mainly taken at my mums house as the morning was so hectic that I didn’t have time to even think about getting my camera out.
If you’d like to see what I got for Christmas, you can watch my video here…
And the kids did their own video showing their favourite Christmas presents…
What did you get for Christmas? Did you enjoy your day?
Thanks for reading.
