You know when you picture having kids and you imagine them splashing about in the bath together, and it’s all lovely and happy? Well it’s definitely not usually like that for us, it generally involves fighting and lots of whinging. These days Max prefers to have a shower and Evie has a bath on her own, they are getting older now so I guess that’s just what happens. But, for some reason over the past couple of weeks they’ve loved sharing a bath and the whole thing has been so much less stressful! I doubt it will last long though so of course I took the opportunity to get the camera out and snap a few pictures of this happy little moment.
Another highlight from the past few weeks was our May half term holiday to Butlins, which was great fun for these two. It was so lovely to see how excited they were to be able to share a bedroom again, watching them dancing together, playing on the beach and just generally enjoying spending more time together. If only they could be like that all the time!
Over the next month we will see the last few weeks of school before the big summer holidays, eek! How quickly has that crept up? Evie will be moving up to reception in September so she’ll be finding out who her teacher is going to be and there will be a few school visits too. She’s taking it all in her stride at the moment and Max is so excited for her and keeps telling her all about the teachers, the classrooms and how the school day goes. He’s really excited to see her at playtimes as well and I’m so glad that they have each other to look out for.
Here are my two this month…
