Puffin Books recently got in touch and asked if we’d like to have a go at making some Doctor Who Christmas cards. I have to admit that I’m not the best when it comes to doing crafts with the kids and this one looked pretty easy so I thought we’d give it a go. We also know a couple of Doctor Who fans so these cards are going to be perfect for them.
The illustrations on the cards are taken from the new Doctor Who book Doctor Who: Twelve Doctors of Christmas, which is full of beautifully illustrated Christmas adventures. The book is priced at £12.99 at Amazon and would make the perfect Christmas gift for your favourite Whovians.
Here’s how we made the cards…
What you’ll need
- Printed Doctor Who cards
- First of all you’ll need to print off your Doctor Who cards from the Puffin website.
- Cut your printed cards out and cut your card to size.
- Next, stick the printed Doctor Who cards onto the card. You might need to trim the edges of the card at this point, or you can leave a border if you prefer.
- Fold your cards in half and you’re done!
Evie had lots of fun with this activity, she is really pleased with her cards and can’t wait to give them out. It’s the perfect craft for young children as it’s really simple and isn’t too messy at all.
If you decide to have a go at this activity remember to post a photo of your finished cards on social media using the hashtag #PuffinChristmas
