Summer is here and the foodie in me is super excited to get out and try the summer menus at some of Sheffield’s best restaurants. There’s just something about sitting outside in the sun with good food and a drink, don’t you think? Here’s my roundup of five must visit restaurants in Sheffield…
Pho is a Vietnamese restaurant located in Leopold Square in Sheffield City Centre. The first Pho restaurant opened in June 2005 by owners Stephen and Juliette Wall after they travelled to Vietnam and fell in love with the food. On the menu you will find a range of authentic Vietnamese street food dishes such as crispy spring rolls, Vietnamese pancakes, noodle soup, rice bowls and more.

2. Restaurant 1584
Restaurant 1584 is located within the beautiful Whitley Hall Hotel in Grenoside. I suppose I’m biased as it’s where we got married but it really is a stunning location. The restaurant offers both table d’hôte and a la carte menus which include dishes such as langoustine ravioli, pan fried Gressingham duck breast, Cornish cod loin and more. A must visit!
I’ve been using the SquareMeal website to help me find the best restaurants near me to eat at this summer. At SquareMeal you can easily find and book restaurants across the UK.

Located on Ecclesall Road, Olive is a family run Mediterranean restaurant. Olive is owned by brothers who have a combined experience of over 40 years working in kitchens across Italy and the UK.
“At Olive you will find Italian classics, as well as a range of other tasty dishes inspired by their Moroccan roots, and extensive knowledge of Mediterranean food.
We cater to everyone, so whether it’s a cozy meal for two, or all the family are joining you, you’ll love the friendly atmosphere and delicious food.”

4. Enver’s Turkish Grill
Enver’s is an authentic Turkish restaurant. They started out in 2019 in Handsworth and due to its popularity have since opened a second restaurant in the Hillsborough area. As well as their main menu, Enver’s also offer a great children’s menu and a takeaway menu from their Handsworth restaurant.

We visited Mowgli for the first time recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. There are now 18 Mowgli restaurants across the UK serving delicious Indian street food.
“Mowgli is all about how Indians eat at home and on their streets. She was born to feed the raw need Indians have for tiffins full of fresh bright intense flavour. Mowgli is not about the intimate, hushed dining experience. It is about the smash and grab zing of healthy, light, virtuosic herbs and spices.”
