It’s December and Christmas is very nearly here, yay! The kids are really excited and cannot wait for Santa to visit, so of course my photos had to be Christmas themed this month.
There is something so special about having a sibling at Christmas, having someone there to share the excitement with. I honestly don’t think Christmas would have been the same for me growing up if I hadn’t had siblings around. It’s times like this that make all of the fighting and arguing worth while!
Of course it wouldn’t be the Siblings Project if I didn’t have a little moan about the fighting. The problem we are having at the moment is that Max is just far too rough with Evie, I really don’t think he knows he is hurting her but unfortunately he often does. It is now at the point where I don’t want to leave them together unattended as I’m worried that he might really hurt her. I won’t go into too much detail now as I want to write a separate post about it, as I’m sure there will be other autism parents out there who can relate to this and may be able to offer some advice.
Aside from the fights, it’s been a great month so far. Watching them decorating the Christmas tree together, opening their advent calendars together and even sharing their chocolate with one another are a few of the highlights. They can be so so lovely with each other and truly are the best of friends. I can’t wait for Christmas now to watch them together.
My favourite photo from this month is the one with their feet, so simple but there is just something so cute about little toes! I also love that you can see their Christmas PJ’s, the Christmas tree and lights peaking through in the background and that you can also see their happy little faces. It might just be my favourite ever photo of them.
