OUR 2017 BUCKET LIST, HOW DID WE DO?

At the start of January this year I wrote a bucket list for the year ahead. It was full of things that we wanted to do during 2017 and I’m pleased to say that we did pretty well with it!

I will be writing a 2018 bucket list in the next few days, so keep an eye out for that if you’re interested in seeing it. I think it’s such a lovely idea to make a list like this, it gets you excited for the year ahead and who doesn’t like making lists?!

I’ve marked in green below all of the things we managed to do and those in red are the ones we haven’t done this year.  The ones left in black we have made a good start on but haven’t quite finished! Which is basically anything house related…

As you can see we managed to do most of the things on our bucket list. Some things on the list were a bit daft to be honest such as decluttering the house, which is an ongoing battle and I don’t know whether I’ll ever be able to tick that one off! We’ve had a few decluttering sessions and countless trips to the tip over the year but you still manage to accumulate more stuff don’t you? And never really seem to get to the bottom of it.

We made a good start on redecorating our bedroom, we moved all the furniture around. Got rid of the hideous old wardrobes and it looks completely different to how it did a year ago but we never actually finished it. The walls still need painting and there’s a few more bits and bobs to add.

Max’s bedroom has been a work in progress for months now, we seem to do one thing and then leave it again for a few weeks! But we are finally getting somewhere with it. The walls are painted, toy storage is sorted and all we need now is the finishing touches such as cushions, bedding etc. All being well his room should be completely finished in a week or two.
